Do I need a credit card to book?
No. Name, email and phone are enough: pay at the hotel or online with PayPal.
How do I cancel a booking?
With the flexible rate cancellation is free: do it from your account or by calling reception. The non-refundable rate is 5% cheaper but cannot be cancelled.
Are there discounts?
Yes: active discounts apply automatically when you choose your dates. Patients, relatives and students also get a special rate with the facility code.
Can I arrive after 20:00?
Yes. Before arrival we send you the code to enter the hotel and your room at any time.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 14:00 to 20:00, check-out by 10:30.
How do I get here from Santa Maria Novella station?
T1 tram towards Careggi, Morgagni–Università stop: about 15 minutes with no changes, then a two-minute walk.
Are pets allowed?
Yes: dogs and cats of any size, free and without particular restrictions.

There is a café and a bakery next to the hotel; inside you will find snack and drink machines.

How much is the tourist tax?
€3.50 per person, per night, only for the first 7 consecutive nights. It is not included in the room price: you pay it at the hotel when you leave.
Who has to pay it?
All guests who are not residents of the Municipality of Florence. It is a municipal tax: the hotel collects it and pays it to the City.
Who does not pay it?
Children under 12; those assisting a person in a Florence hospital, day hospital included (up to two companions per patient); those in Florence for day-hospital treatment; students enrolled at the University of Florence; police, fire brigade and civil protection on duty. Employees staying in Florence for work pay for no more than 7 nights in the whole calendar year, even if not consecutive: from the eighth night on they are exempt.
How do I get the exemption?
If you are assisting a patient or receiving day-hospital treatment, fill in a self-declaration: at the hotel on arrival, or download the PDF form and hand it in at reception. Students show their University of Florence enrolment certificate for the current academic year. For the other exemptions (work, service) ask at reception which document you need.
Can the rules change?
Yes: amounts and exemptions are set by the City of Florence in its regulations. If you are unsure about your case, ask us before booking.
Is the hotel in the ZTL?
No: you can drive here without a permit. We recommend the Careggi car park, max €4 per day.
How far is Careggi Hospital?
The main entrance in Largo Brambilla is 600 metres away, an 8-minute flat walk. CTO is 650 metres, Villa Ulivella 700 metres, Meyer 1.7 km (5 minutes by bus).
